Services

Six capabilities, one accountable team

Fixing how you run starts with the diagnostic, so we fix the leaks that cost you most. Building something new starts with product discovery. Below is what each service usually delivers, with examples of the kind of work involved.

01

Automation & integrations

We connect the software you already pay for so information moves on its own: enquiries into your CRM, jobs into accounts, approvals to the right person. Built on proven tools where they fit, custom code where they don't.

Fixed quote after the diagnostic

Typical deliverables

  • A map of how data moves today and where it gets re-keyed
  • Integrations between your existing systems (APIs, webhooks or tools such as Make, Zapier or n8n)
  • Error alerts, so a failed sync is noticed in minutes, not at month end
  • Plain-English runbook your team can follow

Examples of the work

  • Website enquiries created as leads in the CRM, with an automatic acknowledgement
  • Approved quotes turned into jobs and draft invoices without re-entry
  • Timesheets from a field app pushed into payroll each week

Examples of typical projects, not client case studies.

02

AI assistants

Most business software now ships AI features, and most of them sit switched off or untuned. We set them up, connect them to your own information, and add assistants where they save real time, with clear rules about what needs a human sign-off.

Fixed quote after the diagnostic

Typical deliverables

  • Review of the AI features already in your tools, and which are worth switching on
  • Assistants set up on your documents, price lists or procedures
  • Guardrails: what the AI may send, and what always needs approval
  • A simple AI use policy for your team

Examples of the work

  • A draft-reply assistant for the shared inbox that cites your own policies
  • Meeting notes and actions captured and filed against the right client
  • Quotes drafted from photos and voice notes for a person to check and send

Examples of typical projects, not client case studies.

03

Dashboards & reporting

We pull the numbers out of your systems, agree what each one means, and build dashboards that update themselves. The goal is fewer, better measures that you actually check every week.

Fixed quote after the diagnostic

Typical deliverables

  • Agreed definitions for the measures that matter to you
  • Automated data pipeline from your systems
  • Dashboards for owners, managers and teams (Power BI, Looker Studio or similar)
  • A short weekly or monthly review rhythm built around them

Examples of the work

  • Weekly cash, sales pipeline and job profitability on one page
  • Quote-to-win rate and response time by team member
  • Debtor days and overdue invoices, with reminders tied to them

Examples of typical projects, not client case studies.

04

Fractional CTO

For businesses that need someone senior to own technology decisions but aren't ready for a full-time hire. We set direction, manage vendors and developers, and make sure what's built keeps running.

Fixed quote after the diagnostic

Typical deliverables

  • Technology roadmap tied to business goals
  • Vendor and software selection, contracts and negotiation support
  • Oversight of developers or agencies, including code and security reviews
  • Board or owner reporting on technology risk and spend

Examples of the work

  • Choosing and rolling out a job management or CRM system
  • Taking over a stalled software project and getting it delivered
  • Preparing technology due diligence for an investment or sale

Examples of typical projects, not client case studies.

05

Product & platform development

When the software you need doesn't exist, we design and build it: web apps, customer portals, internal tools, marketplaces and MVPs. We also set up the infrastructure, payments and integrations behind them, and look after the product once it's live.

Starts with product discovery: From NZ$2,500 (+GST), credited against the build. Build: fixed quote after discovery.

Typical deliverables

  • Product discovery: scope, architecture, user flows, a fixed-price build plan and a timeline
  • User experience and interface design, tested with real users before build
  • A working product released every fortnight, on infrastructure you own
  • Payments, sign-in and integrations with the systems you already use
  • Launch support, monitoring and an ongoing support plan

Examples of the work

  • A customer portal where clients book, track and pay for jobs
  • An internal tool that replaces a tangle of spreadsheets and email
  • An MVP for a new service idea, built to test demand before a bigger spend

Examples of typical projects, not client case studies.

How we work

  1. DiscoveryWe agree the problem, users and scope, then produce the architecture, user flows, a fixed-price build plan and a timeline.
  2. DesignClickable designs of the key screens, tested with the people who will use them.
  3. BuildWorking software every fortnight, so you see progress and can change priorities early.
  4. LaunchData migration, go-live checks and training for your team and first users.
  5. SupportMonitoring, fixes and improvements on a fixed monthly plan.
06

Fixed quote after the diagnostic

Typical deliverables

  • Product roadmap tied to revenue and retention goals
  • Pricing and packaging review
  • Retention and churn analysis, with the systems to act on it

  • Preparing an MVP for its first paying customers
  • Reworking pricing tiers after a product has outgrown them

Examples of typical projects, not client case studies.

Questions

Common questions

What happens in the first consultation?

A free 20 to 30 minute call. You tell us where time and money go missing; we tell you honestly whether we can help, and whether a diagnostic is worth it. No pitch deck.

Why start with a paid diagnostic?

Because guessing is expensive. The diagnostic gives you a written map of where the leaks are, what fixing each one is worth, and a fixed quote for the work. You can take that report to anyone. If you go ahead with us, the diagnostic fee is credited against the project.

Do we have to change our software?

Usually not. We start with what you already pay for and only suggest a change when the numbers clearly support it. We are vendor-neutral: we recommend what fits your business, not what pays us a commission.

How do you price projects?

Fixed quotes, agreed before work starts, based on the scope from your diagnostic or product discovery. Ongoing support is a fixed monthly fee you can cancel with notice.

Can you build a new product for us?

Yes. If the software you need doesn't exist, we design and build it: web apps, customer portals, internal tools, marketplaces and MVPs. It starts with a paid product discovery that produces the scope, architecture, user flows, a fixed-price build plan and a timeline. The discovery fee is credited against the build if you go ahead.

What about our data and privacy?

We use the minimum access needed, prefer accounts you control, and work under the NZ Privacy Act 2020. When AI tools are involved we tell you exactly where data goes and get your agreement first.

Do you only work with trades?

No. Trades and construction are a focus, which is why we run our Docket AI practice, but the same approach works for field services, professional services and most growing businesses.
